Scott M. Honour – Chairman
Prior to Northern Pacific Group, Scott served as Senior Managing Director of The Gores Group, an operations focused private equity firm with over $4 billion in assets under management. Scott continues to serve as an advisor to Gores. Scott also was a candidate for governor of Minnesota in 2014. In 2011, Scott co-founded and currently serves as Chairman of FirstCNG, a natural gas filling station company. Prior to joining Gores in 2002, Scott led a career as an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he also worked at DLJ Merchant Banking, and at UBS Warburg. In 1999, Scott co-founded YapStone, an online payment services company. Prior to joining DLJ, Scott served as an analyst at Trammell Crow Company.
Scott earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Pepperdine University in 1988, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. Scott currently serves as co-chair of Achieve Minnesota. Scott serves as Chairman of the Board of Renters Warehouse and on the board of United Language Group on behalf of Northern Pacific Group.
Peter R. Offenhauser – Director
Peter has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and private equity. Prior to joining Northern Pacific Group, Peter was a Principal at Stone Arch Capital. Prior to Stone Arch, he spent four years as a Senior Associate with Churchill Equity Partners, the private equity arm of Minneapolis based Churchill Capital, Inc. During that time, he was responsible for evaluating, executing and facilitating the identification, acquisition, financing and growth of a broad range of portfolio investments. Additionally, Peter worked at Ferrer Freeman & Company, a Greenwich, CT based growth equity investment firm focused on healthcare related investments. Peter began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldsmith, Agio, Helms & Lynner, now Lazard. As an analyst, he was involved in the sale and financing of numerous middle market businesses.
Peter earned a B.S. in Accounting and Economics, with honors, from the University of Minnesota, and an M.B.A., with honors, from Columbia University. Peter is active civically and in the community, currently serving as a director on the Lake Country School endowment board. Peter serves on the Delaget, Renters Warehouse and United Language Group boards on behalf of Northern Pacific Group.
Marcy Haymaker – Director
Marcy is responsible for overseeing the investment review and portfolio management alongside the Northern Pacific Group team. Prior to joining NPG, Marcy was an Associate at The Gores Group. She began her career as a Financial Analyst in the Wealth Management division of US Bancorp.
Marcy earned a B.S. in Finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Marcy serves on the Renters Warehouse and United Language Group board on behalf of Northern Pacific Group.
Brenton Hayden – Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Renters Warehouse
Brenton Hayden is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Renters Warehouse, a seven time honoree of the Inc. 500|5000 list. The company currently has 33 offices in 18 states. With a portfolio of managed properties valued over $3 billion in residential leasing transactions, it’s no surprise that this Harvard Business School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Sloan School of Management graduate was named the youngest franchisor in America by Inc. Magazine in 2011 at the age of 25. Most recently, Brenton was named the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Mid-West. Brenton’s expert marketing skills and entrepreneurial spirit have largely contributed to the success of his company, earning Renters Warehouse numerous awards in real estate and business. In September 2015, Brenton sold a majority stake in the company to Minnesota-based Northern Pacific Group.
Doug Bergeron – Director
Doug Bergeron is the founder and Executive Chairman of Opus. He is a 23-year financial technology industry veteran. In 2001, he led the acquisition of VeriFone from Hewlett-Packard in a transaction valued at $50M. In 2002, GTCR partnered with Doug and embarked upon a strategy to aggressively grow VeriFone into a multi-national company that would have an enterprise value exceeding $4 billion by 2013.
From 2002 through 2012, VeriFone’s revenue grew from $297 million to nearly $1.9 billion as a result of an aggressively executed international expansion strategy and a number of key acquisitions. In 2005, VeriFone IPO’d and became listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “PAY”. Today, VeriFone is active in over 100 countries worldwide and employs nearly 5,000 people.
From 1990 through 1999, Doug served in a number of executive management positions at SunGard Data Systems, including Managing Director of SunGard Capital Markets N.A., President of SunGard Futures Systems, and Group CEO of SunGard Brokerage Systems Group.
Doug holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from York University in Toronto and a Masters of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 2013, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) from York University.
Doug is a permanent member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a five-time delegate to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and has been a frequent guest on CNBC and Fox Business. He is married to Sandra and is the father of five children.
Pam Kosanke – Director and CMO of Renters Warehouse
Pam Kosanke came to Renters Warehouse with over 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising across blue-chip brands, startups and non-profit companies. A former VP at world-renowned Leo Burnett Advertising in Chicago, Pam oversaw several highly awarded consumer product goods (CPG), retail and QSR (quick service restaurant) accounts including Kelloggs, Allstate, Hallmark and McDonald’s. She was part of the leadership team responsible for the creation and pilot launch of the new McDonald’s Breakfast Dollar Menu. In 2011, Pam founded her own marketing consulting agency, Kosanke Consulting, which focused on franchise system marketing, including Little Caesar’s Pizza, It’s Just Lunch dating service, Renters Warehouse property management and others.
As current CMO of Renters Warehouse, Pam oversees Renters Warehouse’s brand strategy and all local and national marketing campaigns. In 2015, she developed and trademarked the term “Rent Estate™” to redefine the entire Single Family Rental (SFR) industry. Most recently, Pam achieved the honor of being named a Top Woman in Housing by MReport and won three American Business Stevie Awards for executive leadership and marketing excellence.
Pam is an accomplished athlete, coach and fitness enthusiast. She was MVP and Academic All-America 3rd Baseman for the Softball team at the University of Michigan, a 13-year veteran of both the USA Rugby Sevens and 15s National teams, including two World Cups (2006 & 2009), and an experienced High School, Club 15s and USA National Development Team 7s coach. Today, Pam is a passionate USA Rugby Board member (and former CMO of USA Rugby), and sits on several dog rescue foundation boards as well.
Kacy Rozelle – Director
Kacy Rozelle is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of St. Cloud Capital, LLC (“St. Cloud”), a Los Angeles-based private investment firm focused on providing growth capital to the lower-middle market (St. Cloud has made portfolio investments in companies across a wide range of industries in every layer of the capital structure, including senior secured debt, subordinated debt, and preferred and common stock). Mr. Rozelle has been involved with most every aspect of St. Cloud’s day-to-day operating activities and portfolio management functions since the firm was founded over fifteen years ago. Mr. Rozelle is a member of the Investment Committee of St. Cloud and is responsible for sourcing, execution and portfolio monitoring functions. Mr. Rozelle’s middle and lower-middle market corporate finance and investment banking experience also includes an additional ten years in leveraged finance at Jefferies & Company, Inc. Mr. Rozelle currently serves on the Board of Directors of: AutoReturn LLC, EZ Own Auto, LLC and Renters Warehouse, LLC. Mr. Rozelle previously served on the Board of Directors of: Johnson Products Company, Inc., SAFE Security, Inc.; National Holdings Inc.; Frontline Sales, Inc.; and Earl Scheib, Inc.; among others. Mr. Rozelle recently served as the western region president for the Small Business Investor Alliance (“SBIA”) where he also served on the SBIA’s National Board of Governors. Mr. Rozelle is also an active member of the Santa Monica Bay Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO-Gold). Mr. Rozelle earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Finance from Virginia Tech. He resides in Pacific Palisades, CA with his wife and three children.
