Kevin Ortner – President and CEO

President and CEO of Renters Warehouse, Kevin Ortner first joined the company in 2009 when he opened the very first Renters Warehouse franchise in Phoenix, AZ. His franchise has been consistently awarded with best-in-class business and culture awards, and reached a record 2000 properties under management for a single franchise in 2016.

After the 2015 retirement of Renters Warehouse founder Brenton Hayden, Ortner went on to take the reins of the entire company, helping see it through monumental growth nationwide and a majority share private equity investment. Kevin is a two-time honoree of the American Stevie Business Awards, Executive of the Year award (2015 and 2016) and received an International Stevie Business Award for his achievements as CEO of Renters Warehouse in 2015. His leadership helped the company become a seven-time honoree of the prestigious Inc. 500|5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in America.

Nationwide, Renters Warehouse currently manages over 13,000 properties in 33 markets across 18 states and growing. In 2015, Renters Warehouse officially trademarked the term Rent Estate™ to redefine the entire Single Family Rental (SFR) industry as real estate gives way to this increasingly lucrative asset. Winning dozens of awards and securing many honors, Renters Warehouse is recognized as being both one of the fastest growing companies, as well as one renowned for being an exceptional employer.

Prior to Renters Warehouse, Kevin was a commercial airline pilot who invested in Rent Estate™ before it was a thing. It’s no surprise that his hobby turned into his life’s passion.

Anthony Cazazian – Chief Investment Officer and President of Portfolio Services

Anthony Cazazian joined Renters Warehouse August 2016 as the company’s Chief Investment Officer and President of Portfolio Services.  He is responsible for the company’s acquisition strategy, strategic partnerships and largest clients.  

Prior to Renters Warehouse, he served as Executive Vice President and Head of Originations for B2R Finance, a subsidiary of private equity firm Blackstone (BX), where he helped build the company from its inception as one of its first hires in 2013. During his time at B2R, he led the Institutional Lending Program responsible for B2R’s largest clients, played an integral role in product and business development, worked in tandem with the capital markets team to securitize over $725 million of rental-home bonds including the industry’s first ever multi-borrower SFR securitization, and personally led more than $550 million in bridge and term loan originations, financing over 7,000 properties across 30+ states.  

Prior to B2R, Cazazian spent over 8 years at Goldman Sachs in various departments including the Real Estate Investment Banking and Real Estate Financing groups, most recently as a Vice President.  During that time, he executed over $5 billion of commercial real estate transactions across various property types with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and CMBS financings.

Cazazian was recognized in 2016 as a rising star in the housing industry by both HousingWire and Mortgage Professional America and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his bachelor’s from New York University.

Pam Kosanke

Pam Kosanke – CMO

Pam Kosanke came to Renters Warehouse with over 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising across blue-chip brands, startups and non-profit companies. A former VP at world-renowned Leo Burnett Advertising in Chicago,  Pam oversaw several highly awarded consumer product goods (CPG), retail and QSR (quick service restaurant) accounts including Kelloggs, Allstate, Hallmark and McDonald’s. She was part of the leadership team responsible for the creation and pilot launch of the new McDonald’s Breakfast Dollar Menu. In 2011, Pam founded her own marketing consulting agency, Kosanke Consulting, which focused on franchise system marketing, including Little Caesar’s Pizza, It’s Just Lunch dating service, Renters Warehouse property management and others.

As current CMO of Renters Warehouse, Pam oversees Renters Warehouse’s brand strategy and all local and national marketing campaigns. In 2015, she developed and trademarked the term “Rent Estate™” to redefine the entire Single Family Rental (SFR) industry. Most recently, Pam achieved the honor of being named a Top Woman in Housing by MReport and won three American Business Stevie Awards for executive leadership and marketing excellence. 

Pam is an accomplished athlete, coach and fitness enthusiast. She was MVP and Academic All-America 3rd Baseman for the Softball team at the University of Michigan, a 13-year veteran of both the USA Rugby Sevens and 15s National teams, including two World Cups (2006 & 2009), and an experienced High School, Club 15s and USA National Development Team 7s coach. Today, Pam is a passionate USA Rugby Board member (and former CMO of USA Rugby), and sits on several dog rescue foundation boards as well.

Charles Wyatt – Chief Financial Officer

Charles oversees the Financial and Human Resource functions of Renters Warehouse.  These include corporate accounting, financial planning, treasury, payroll, tax, and Human Resources.

Prior to joining Renters Warehouse, Charles was the Vice President of Finance at Code42 – one of Minneapolis’ premier technology companies.  In that role, he led several strategic initiatives including 2 fundraising rounds totaling $110M, international expansion, ERP implementation, introduction of a new audit firm, and an acquisition.  All in support of 100% revenue growth during his tenure.

His experience previous to Code42 included the Director of Finance at a Minneapolis-based healthcare IT company where he supported significant revenue growth—from $20M to more than $80M—which included a strategic acquisition of the company’s largest competitor. Charles also played a key role in the company’s sale to a private equity firm for $550M.

Charles has more than 15 years of finance experience, with the last five at emerging growth technology companies. He holds a degree from California State University, Fullerton, and a master’s of business administration from Loyola University, Chicago. When not crunching the numbers, Chuck enjoys spending time with his wife, playing racquetball and taking advantage of Minneapolis’ many great restaurants.

Trevor Brace

Trevor Brace – Chief Technology Officer

Trevor is responsible for technology for Renters Warehouse. He was brought on as Vice President of IT for RWUSA in April, 2015. In November, 2015, he was promoted to CTO of Renters Warehouse. His career spans nearly 20 years, including experience in startups, retail, food delivery, software, technology consulting, disk drive manufacturing, data recovery, and internet media.

Prior to joining Renters Warehouse, Trevor led the business systems team at MakeMusic, Inc – The world leader in music notation software, virtual software instruments, and interactive music learning software. His team at MakeMusic was responsible for infrastructure, Web development, continuous integration, and procurement, provisioning, and support.

Before MakeMusic, Trevor led the development and middle tier team that produced the e-commerce site for the Schwan Food Company. Prior to Schwan’s, Trevor led several multi-million dollar projects for Gander Mountain, and was the founder and COO of BitSleuth Technology – an IT consulting services company.

Trevor’s passion is building and managing high performing teams, mentoring, guiding technical strategy, and building a technology foundation for business execution. In his free time, he has held several volunteer positions, including; IT Director, Hopkins Area Little League, Little League coach, church finance council member and Webmaster, board member for Minnetonka Hopkins Gymnastics Association, and Webmaster for Minnesota Mensa. He currently serves as Chair of the Technology Committee for the International Spanish Language Academy in Minnetonka.

Trevor attended The University of Minnesota, Capella University, and the University of St. Thomas Mini MBA Program.
