Anthony Cazazian – Chief Investment Officer & President of Portfolio Services

Anthony was recognized in 2016 as a rising star in the housing industry by both HousingWire and Mortgage Professional America, is the latest addition to Renters Warehouse’s senior management team. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Head of Originations for B2R Finance, a subsidiary of private equity firm Blackstone (BX), where he helped build the company from its inception as one of its first hires in 2013. During his time at B2R, he led the Institutional Lending Program responsible for B2R’s largest clients, played an integral role in product and business development, worked in tandem with the capital markets team to securitize over $725 million of rental-home bonds including the industry’s first ever multi-borrower SFR securitization, and personally led more than $550 million in bridge and term loan originations, financing approximately 7,000 properties across 30 states. Prior to B2R, Anthony spent over 8 years at Goldman Sachs in various departments including the Real Estate Investment Banking and Real Estate Financing groups, most recently as a Vice President. During that time, he executed over $5 billion of commercial real estate transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and CMBS financings. Anthony offices out of Renters Warehouse’s new flagship location in New York City.

Jon Ortner

Jon Ortner – Vice President, Portfolio Services

Jonathan Ortner is Vice-President of Business Development at Renters Warehouse. Jon joined Renters Warehouse in the Twin Cities in 2008 and was the top Residential Leasing Agent in the region from 2009 to 2011. He opened the Rochester and Denver offices in 2013, serving as President of Renters Warehouse Rochester and General Manager/Franchise Owner of Renters Warehouse Denver until 2016. Today, Jon is dedicated to providing an easy, fast and worry-free property management solution for residential real estate investors and Rent Estate owners. 

Noel Christopher – Senior Vice President, National Business Development

Noel comes to Renters Warehouse with extensive experience in sourcing, acquisition and disposition consulting across the single family rental industry for both institutional and private equity funds. His clients have ranged from hedge funds working at scale to community-minded socially conscious developers involved in neighborhood stabilization projects and the National Community Stabilization Trust or NCST. 

Noel recently worked in multi-channel sales for Investability.com, the online buy-to-rent search and acquisition real estate market leader. As Renters Warehouse’s new National Business Development Lead, he is working exclusively on portfolio management takeovers and contract buy-outs to aggressively expand the top-rated property management company’s national footprint in the next few years. Noel is a former professional alpine ski racer and national sales trainer for Tom Hopkins, earning his Illinois Real Estate Broker’s license in 2002 and managing $50 million in real estate transactions over 3 years. With C21 Affiliated, his team was ranked in the Top 10 nationally and closed over $350 million in real estate investor sales in the Chicago market alone. Noel was named to Chicago’s Real Estate Magazine’s Who’s Who list in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and was honored as the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Top 1% from from 2011 to 2014. He now resides in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two little girls. Noel continues to speak on behalf of the real estate industry at high-profile conferences nationwide, including the Five Star Conference, IMN.org (Information Management Network) and Americatalyst among others.

Shawn Helin

Shawn Helin – Manager, National Business Development

Shawn joined the Renters Warehouse family in early 2012. From the 2006-2009 he worked in the family business of building and selling custom residential homes throughout the Northern Suburbs of Minnesota. Shawn stepped into the corporate world in 2009 where he acted as a National Account Manager for Best Buy, overseeing multi-million-dollar portfolios throughout the Eastern US. Shawn was never able to fully transition out of Real Estate and found the perfect fit in 2012 with Renters Warehouse. After nearly two years in Customer Service, Sales and Leasing, Shawn transitioned into Franchise Sales, helping to double the company’s market presence in just two short years. Shawn is now helping Renters Warehouse exponentially grow its national footprint through property management takeovers, transfers and contract buyouts.

Portfolio Integration Process

Our Portfolio Integration Specialists will work with you to transform your income property portfolio details and requirements into a variety of Renters Warehouse systems and processes over a 90-day period. As part of the management takeover process, we will need the following information from an investor or their current property manager:

  • Property Directory
  • Current Tenant Lease and any Lease Renewals
  • Tenant Contact Info – Email and Phone number
  • Owner Contact Info – Email, Phone Number and Address
  • Security Deposit Amount Per Tenant/Per Property
  • Owner W9’s
  • Owner Banking info for Direct Deposit
  • Executed Property Management Agreement
  • Rental Licenses (if applicable for the city)
  • Tenant Rent Roll – Past Due Balances (for accurate accounting upon collections)
  • Open/Remaining Maintenance Items/Work Orders

Once we have all property and tenant information entered into our management system software, Renters Warehouse will issue respectful and informative change of management notices via mail and/or email to all current tenants.

VIP Client Relations Team Servicing

After your 90-day integration period, you will be assigned a one-stop-shop Professional Landlord of Rent Estate™ as your single point of contact within our VIP Client Relations Team. This team is solely responsible for managing investor portfolios – soup to nuts – post integration, eliminating the need for our investors to have to contact various departments as needs arise. They will work with each of our specialized departments to troubleshoot any issue or concern you may have

Steven Walters – Client Services Manager

Prior to Renters Warehouse, Steven brings in over six years of experience from the hospitality industry coming from Marriott Hotels. He has been with the Renters Warehouse family since August of 2011 and is no stranger to the Property Management industry. In the first year and a half at Renters Warehouse, he managed and oversaw our Rent Collection Department. The next year and a half, he served as our Director of Customer Service. From June 2014 to July 2016 Steven ran our Franchise Division as our Vice President of Franchise Operations. We are ecstatic to have Steven lead our VIP Client Relations Team as he has a plethora of knowledge as it pertains to the Renters Warehouse way. Steven and his team will be able to bridge any gap between Rent Estate investors, their properties and Renters Warehouse.
