About the Houston Team
Renters Warehouse Houston is the premier leasing and property management company in Texas. Led by CEO, Richard (Rich) Drake II, Renters Warehouse Houston's team of local, licensed and specialized Professional Landlords (otherwise known the best property managers in town - check out their Google 5-Star Reviews and Better Business Bureau Awards!) are perfectly positioned to help everyday homeowners and investors lease their home or property with total confidence.
Renter Warehouse Houston's CEO grew up in a small town of less than 7,000 people in East Texas, as the son of a school teacher and Probation Officer. Rich put himself through college working for the prison system here in Texas as a prison guard, working nights so he could take morning classes. After college, he joined the US Navy and completedOfficer Candidate School and Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Florida. He left the Navy in 1996 after two tours overseas, one to the Western Pacific(Japan, Alaska, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore) and one to thePersian Gulf (Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates). Rich started a real estate investment company and then later purchased a HomeVestors “We Buy Ugly Houses” franchise in 1997, now the oldest We Buy Ugly Houses franchise in the country. He has won just about every award in HomeVestors there was - Franchisee of the Year, Most Buys, Most Sales, andLowest Marketing Time. After 16 years of owning the HomeVestors business where he purchased over 1,500 houses and accumulated over 200 rental properties, he and his partners purchased a Renters Warehouse franchise. They were looking for a business opportunity that could be very scalable. The decision was made that Rich would be CEO of Renters Warehouse and his partners would continue to run their HomeVestors franchise. Over the years, Rich has grown Renters Warehouse Houston to be the largest franchise in the nation in terms of revenue, growth rate and number of units. They have surpassed Renters Warehouse offices that have been in business for several years longer than he. On a personal note, Rich has a wonderful wife with great culinary skills that keeps him in the gym and healthy. He has two daughters that are out of college and involved in their own careers (ie. they are off his “payroll”), one son who attends Texas A&M on a Navy ROTC scholarship who is on his way to become a third-generation NavalOfficer, and even a grandson born in 2020. Rich also has two little dogs, a few goats, and several chickens that provide eggs every day for breakfast. Rich and his wife hope upon retirement (years away!) to buy a small piece of land in the Hill Country of Texas, become "vagabonds", and travel the world one tropical island at atime.
Feel comfortable in knowing that Rich's professional real estate agents and property managers can take care of everything you need when renting out your house in the Greater Houston Area including: quality tenant placement, rent collection, maintenance coordination, inspections, tax and licensing paperwork, optional protection packages and much, much more!
